"An event for those with life in their style, and style in their lives"...
"Sunday in the Valley" was created in the fall of 2003 as a high end invitation only shopping event and silent auction held at the beautiful Graciela Hotel in Toluca Lake, California. Invited guests shop directly from 30 carefully selected designers and stores featuring the best in clothing, shoes, jewelry, bath & body, home/gift, kids, & pets. This event targets local tastemakers, various entertainment industry professionals, is ageless in it's demographic, and quickly became an overnight success.

"Sunday in the Valley" was created and is produced by Bree (DeLano) Cohen now known professionally as "DJ 88". As a design and event consultant for the Graciela Hotel, Bree was approached to come up with a fresh concept to lure people to the beautiful new Toluca Lake property. After being disappointed in the production quality of sample sales throughout Los Angeles Bree decided to create an alternative shopping experience for the boutique hotel. The concept was an instant hit for the neighborhood favorite. After six successful events and the sale of the Graciela, Bree decided it was time for a change and moved to Las Vegas with her fiance pursuing her career as a DJ, which also began in 2003. Within the five years she has been DJing she has built up quite an impressive client list. Aside her residency for the second year in a row @ the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's "Friday Nite Live" concert series, she recently DJ'd events for LA Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week, & John Varvatos, as well as being named Las Vegas Weekly's Most Beautiful People of 2008. After two years of research Bree and her staff have finally decided to bring "Sunday in the Valley" to life in Sin City. Bree currently lives in Las Vegas with her (now) husband a professional poker player and her three beloved rescue pitbulls Sadie, Biggie, & Foxy Brown.

Although Los Angeles is completely over-saturated with various "sample sales", "Sunday in the Valley" was in a league all it's own. No hustle, no bustle, no last years wears thrown on a table to rummage through for discount prices. It was produced as an "experience" not a "sale".
"Sunday in the Valley" has the intimacy of a boutique, the comfort of a favorite haunt, the style of a chic hotel, and the energy of the best girls night out...only it is on a Sunday afternoon. "Sunday in the Valley" also earned quite a reputation amongst designers as a well organized direct pipeline to their desired demographic of shoppers. New designers are introduced and eagerly awaited each season and well known designers/stores such as Curve (the infamous Robertson Blvd. boutique), Sweetface, and Max Studio are a constant draw.
To the thousands of Angeleno's who attended "Sunday in the Valley" throughout it's six events it was a highly anticipated afternoon where invited guests could count on the perfect afternoon of premium shopping, cocktails, music, networking and celebrating their lifestyle...not to mention bidding on fabulous unique auction items. The auction items range from luxury weekend getaways, movie premiere packages, fine art, jewelry, and one of a kind treasures. 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction go to a deserving animal charity.

The creator/producer and staff of "Sunday in the Valley" are huge animal lovers, owners, & rescue supporters. After raising over $18,000 via the Los Angeles silent auctions they are excited to support a chosen Las Vegas animal charity this year in which of course 100% of the auction proceeds will benefit that chosen charity.
An event of this kind has never happened in Las Vegas. For the thousands of locals fashionistas struggle with limited shopping options and a lack of high end events outside of a nightclub setting "Sunday in the Valley" is going to be a huge deal for Sin City locals. Weak at heart need not inquire, this is for serious shoppers only!
